The Courage to Change Your Mind

Changing your mind is sometimes treated as weakness.

As though strong leaders choose a direction and never reconsider.

But leadership without reflection quickly becomes stubbornness.

New information arrives.

Context shifts.

A person develops.

An assumption turns out to be incomplete.

Changing direction is not necessarily inconsistency.

Sometimes it is evidence that you are paying attention.

Integrity does not mean never changing.

It means staying connected to what is true.

A conscious leader can ask:

“What do I know now that I didn't know then?”

That question makes room for learning without turning the original decision into a failure.

What are you continuing to defend simply because you once decided it?
